My Story

As a mom of 3 I know how important it is to feel supported during your pregnancy journey.

I always felt like Doulas were unattainable, as if they were just for the wealthy and celebrities, I didn't know how accessible they were. The name "Like Me Doula Services" comes from that idea, services for anyone and everyone, pregnant women that are like any other woman, and just want the end result to be healthy and not traumatized mom, healthy baby.

As a child I always loved helping and when my mom became pregnant with my first sibling I really found pride in helping her with the simple tasks to make sure she was comfortable. As I grew older and my friends began to have their own children, being there for them, whether it was just a shoulder to cry on or helping to ensure they were supported and educated throughout their pregnancy has always made me feel so fulfilled.

Once I had my own children, at times I felt that I really could use some additional support, for the 1st baby I didn't feel prepared, I was scared and at times stressed, when I delivered my baby girl I felt instant joy, but again bringing her home I felt like I had to constantly just "figure it out". The more children I had the more confident I became, but looking back I wish I had had the support of a Doula to help guide me through my journey.

In 2023, I started my on my adventure to become a trained Doula and I know that it has been my calling all along. I love when a pregnant woman feels confident going into her birth, or when I can relieve some stress when she gets home by cleaning and doing the dishes so she can just relax and recover with her baby.

I am grateful to be a Medicaid Provider, Crediatialied with NJ Family Care so that I can provide services for everyone.
